RST 6.2L Performance Edition – Optional on Premier, this equipment package includes a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine bolted to a Hydra-Matic ten-speed automatic transmission, high-capacity air cleaner, 170-amp alternator, 3.23 rear axle, two-speed active transfer case (4WD only), trailer brake controller and Sport calibration.

Standard power for Tahoe is generated by a EcoTec3 5.3L V-8 engine joined to a Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission. It also features TapShift control, tow/haul mode and auto grade braking. All wheel drive is an available option.

Tahoe is engineered to deliver a quiet, controlled ride with responsive steering and braking feel. It all starts on a strong, fully boxed, perimeter frame, which incorporates a large degree of high-strength steel and supports above average payload and trailering capability. All models feature an updated coil-over-shock independent front suspension design, with forged aluminum upper control arms and cast-aluminum lower control arms on select models.
