Though the city doesn’t have any professional sports teams, Fayetteville has the Jordan Soccer Complex and the Cumberland County Crown Coliseum for hosting minor league sports and events.
The city is home to several higher education institutions, such as Carolina College of Biblical Studies, Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College, and Methodist University. The city is served by the Fayetteville Regional Airport and the Fayetteville Area System Transportation (FAST), which has 10 bus lines and two shuttle routes.
