Power for the BMW X6 is generated by one of two prime movers: the xDrive50i (4.4L V8) and the xDrive35i (3.0L inline six-cylinder), both outfitted with twin turbochargers and direct injection. Suspension technology used by the X6 starts with a double wishbone control arm configuration at the front with BMW’s patented Integral IV axle, four trailing arms and subframe at the rear. The drivetrain and suspension hardware have been engineered to work perfectly with BMW’s Integrated Chassis Management. This electronic control ensures harmonious interaction of drivetrain and suspension functions within a fraction of a second.
