Cars for Sale in Massachusetts

Massachusetts, a state many call the Birthplace of the United States of America. Plymouth was the landing site of the Mayflower and soon home to the Pilgrims. Boston would become home to some of the most famous and important acts of rebellion in our nation's history. Harvard is the USA's oldest institute of higher learning. This is a state that is more than ingrained into our national identity and history, it practically IS our national identity and history.

Boston also happens to be one end of the longest interstate highway in the country, I-90. It runs from Seattle, WA to Boston, for a grand total of 3,020 miles. That's a heckuva drive, but it seems that Massachusetts residents are more than up for a good drive here and there. There are more than 5 million registered vehicles in the state and drivers rack up an estimated 11,742 miles on average each year. For those looking for cars for sale to traverse I-90, Massachusetts has 2,336 dealerships that manage to tally a massive $14.77 billion in new car sales. That's a lot of cars to help generate the 97,510 auto-related jobs found throughout the state.

Being so old, Massachusetts of course is home to plenty of neat little bits of history, some more consequential than others. For instance, did you know that the Fig Newton was named after Newton, MA? It's true. Boston also built the first subway station in America in 1897. Boston Common became the first public park in America in 1634. Oh, and rubber was first vulcanized by Charles Goodyear in Woburn in 1893.

Just be sure that you don't operate your automobile with a gorilla in the backseat. That's against the law.
